Hello and Welcome! I’m Joshua Taffet, a licensed psychotherapist. I’m pleased you’ve taken this courageous step toward claiming a better “You”. A little about me: I earned my Masters in Social Work from NYU, graduating in the top of my class. My clinical practice involves working with young adults, adults and couples struggling with: addictions, depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, adjustment issues, LGBT issues and those who generally want to live more free, more authentic lives. My style is warm, empathic and collaborative. I aim for all my clients to feel completely heard and understood, without judgment. Having trained in and practiced several therapeutic modalities, I’m able to integrate elements of CBT, psychodynamic therapy, mindfulness & others to offer you the best way forward. I believe that every individual presents a unique set of issues & responds to therapy differently. I’m able to intuitively & professionally tailor therapy based on your needs. Our “safe space” is the catalyst for your growth, healing and transformation. My ultimate purpose is to empower you to become your own therapist; that way, you can conquer whatever life throws at you, anywhere, anytime. I am confident that our partnership will lead you to new perspectives, emotional growth and well being.
