Joslyn Harris

Hi! My name is Joslyn I am a fully licensed Masters level Social Worker in the state of Michigan. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Eastern Michigan University in 2016 and my Masters of Social Work degree from Wayne State University in 2017 with a focus on interpersonal practice. I have experience with working with individuals, families, and geriatric individuals; including persons with developmental disabilities and various mental health backgrounds. I use a person-centered, strengths based approach to therapy as well as an integrative solution focused approach to create a safe and comfortable environment where we can explore issues related to anxiety, depression, life style, relationship and family concerns. I believe growth comes through challenging experiences that can force us to learn how to navigate life and re-evaluate our experiences and self-worth. I believe in utilizing a client’s own strengths and building upon those strengths to assist them in reaching their goals. I assist my clients in feeling more connected to themselves, to be more true to themselves through understanding their past and present experiences, and to have more prosperous, meaningful relationships with the people in their lives.
