Kari Homan Shannon is an experienced therapist with a passion for helping clients achieve emotional release and healing. With over 7 years of experience working in public mental health facilities and 8 years exclusively with psych hospitals, Kari has a deep understanding of various modalities including CBT, DBT, EFT, and more. Kari has worked with a diverse range of clients, from those with ADHD to OCD and everything in between, but finds particular fulfillment in working with hoarders, individuals struggling with depression, and those who have experienced serious trauma such as first responders or trauma victims. Kari’s preferred technique combines the client’s faith base, including a belief in a higher power and prayer, with energy work. This powerful combination has proven to be highly effective and many clients have experienced resolution within 1-3 sessions. However, Kari recognizes that the duration of therapy may vary based on the individual’s trauma and circumstances. Once the “stuck” points are addressed, Kari shifts the focus to an educational approach where clients learn effective techniques, strategies, and skills to maintain a more balanced life.
