Kari Viola-Brooke

Hello! I am a licensed professional counselor with over 8 years working with children, families, and adults. I have worked with clients on a wide range of topics including dealing with depression, anxiety, issues experienced by the LGBTQ community, familial issues, sexual abuse, other traumas and stress. In addition, I also have extensive experience working with adults on professional growth and development, workplace issues, confidence building and compassion fatigue. My method of therapy includes tailoring my approach to the client and working together to achieve goals. I strongly believe that that therapy should be a safe place for clients to find the strength and empowerment they need to overcome difficulties. I take a very solution-focused approach to counseling so that clients feel like they know what they are working towards and that they have the skills and tools needed to get them there. From the first session, I work with my clients to come up with long term and short term goals that we will serve as a road map for our time together. Starting counseling is the first step towards getting to where you want to be in your life. You should be proud of yourself that you have taken the initiative to start looking for a therapist.
