Katherine (Katie) Bortniak

Hello, I am a licensed clinical social worker in Florida. I have been licensed since 2016. I graduated with my master’s from Florida Atlantic University in 2012. I have worked with a wide range of clients from a variety of backgrounds. Some of the main concerns that my clients have had include depression, past trauma including physical and emotional abuse, relationship dynamics, anxiety, care giver challenges, and help with managing life stressors. I use an eclectic approach of blending different therapeutic approaches with mainly a client-centered approach to work with you with where you are at and what you want to work on. I feel that this is your journey, and you know best about what you need and how to get there. I believe that my role is to help support you though the process and provide guidance along the way. I use a collaborate approach and open dialogue to create treatment goals you want to work on. I know it can be hard to take that first step to reach out for help.
