Hello there! I’m Katherine Lord and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been in this lovely helping profession for over 10 years as a therapist and in various other clinical roles. I enjoy building therapeutic relationships with people and being a supportive, non-judgmental presence which can be adapted to your needs. My therapy style is generally client-centered but I often pull from different modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). As a therapist I strive to be genuine, direct, kind, and honest. I feel like many of life’s challenges can be worked through with the right tools and mindset and sometimes we just need a little bit of guidance to move in the right direction. I especially like to work with others on how they relate to themselves, others, and the world. I hope that you will continue on this path of seeking counseling and if you feel like I would be a good fit for you, I look forward to working with you. I am new to the platform so am finding my rhythm. I appear to be able to check and respond to messages periodically throughout the week and on Saturdays. I also have a limited number of live sessions available weekday evenings and on Sundays.
