Kathleen Hardison

Kathleen Hardison is a Licensed Professional Counselor with extensive experience in private practice as well as 15 years of experience as a school counselor in Texas high school and junior high. She is dedicated to helping youth and parents navigate relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, adjustment to change, as well as academics and career concerns. Kathleen has a strong focus on addressing acute needs in crisis situations. Born and raised in Texas, Kathleen has had the opportunity to learn and appreciate people from diverse situations and cultures. After graduating high school, she spent a year in the Netherlands as a Foreign Exchange Student, immersing herself in a new language and culture. Upon returning to the United States, Kathleen graduated from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University. She spent seven years teaching in culturally diverse areas of Texas before pursuing her Masters degree in Education with a major in Counseling at Tarleton State University in 2008. As a therapist, Kathleen believes in a client-centered approach, where clients determine the direction and depth of therapy while she determines the best treatment modalities to help them achieve their goals.
