Kathryn Therrien

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York. I strongly believe in the healing power of a supportive community focused on overall health and mental wellness. I provide a positive and empowering environment that is grounded in open communication, mutual respect, and creative collaboration. I received my Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City and have over 10 years of experience working with individuals suffering from mood and anxiety disorders, depression, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, developmental disorders, and substance abuse disorders. I have diverse experience working with adolescents, adults, and seniors dealing with issues concerning gender and identity, body image, women’s issues, life transitions and role change, work/life balance, and relationship challenges. I practice Cognitive Behavioral Therapy blended with case management assistance, mindfulness-based stress reduction techniques, self-care skills, and coping strategies. I am here to instill confidence in my clients to create more fulfilling lives for themselves. I am also more than willing to share about my own love of cooking, outdoor activities, DIY projects, and trying to keep up with my active pup, Carl!
