Kathryn Zellner

Hi there. I’m Katie Zellner, a licensed professional counselor (LPC) at BetterHelp and I’m so glad you are here. In order to make an informed decision about your care, it’s only fair I tell you a little about myself. I received my Bachelor of Science from the University of Minnesota in Family Social Science. I then received my Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin Stout in Clinical Mental Health Counseling where I had concentrations in substance abuse counseling and child and adolescent counseling. I have been in the field since and have developed experience working with the following populations: corrections, substance abuse, mental health, individual counseling, family counseling, group counseling, and child/adolescent counseling. Specifically I’ve worked with clients with the following concerns: depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, compulsive behaviors, anger concerns, mood disorders, relationship concerns, grief/loss, and much more. I’m also trained in Brain Spotting which is a technique for trauma reprocessing. My approach with my clients tends to be eclectic. I truly believe every person needs something different because with therapy it will never be a one size fits all. With that being said, I pull most from CBT approaches and interventions because it empowers clients to become aware of patterns of thinking and behaviors to take more control over their lives. I want to help you find those answers and empower you to make the changes you need in your life. I’m passionate about the work I do and I hope that comes through in our work together.
