Hello! My name is Katie and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. I have been working with children, adults, and families for over 15 years. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, located on the central California coast. After working with foster children, I moved to the San Francisco Bay Area to pursue a graduate degree in Counseling from Cal State East Bay, which I received in 2009. My clinical focus is helping clients find solution to live a happier life. Change and conflict is unavoidable, unfortunately. Sometimes the difficulty can be overwhelming, and we can’t get a handling it. That’s when therapy can help clients find their own strength, supports, and solutions to lead a happier life while managing the ups and downs of life. To achieve these goals, I use a variety of modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Positive Psychology. Depending on your goals, I find the best approach or a blend of approaches to achieve the most ideal outcome: helping you feel happier and healthier on a daily basis. Outside of my time as a Therapist, I enjoys going on walks, going to the movies, taking my toddler to the park, binge watching Netflix, and going on shopping trips to Target.
