Kelly Smith

Kelly Smith is a highly experienced and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor based in Texas, with nearly 20 years of expertise in mental health counseling. She obtained her degree in Mental Health Counseling from The University of North Texas and has worked in various settings, including acute inpatient psychiatric care, private practice, residential treatment facilities, and school environments. Throughout her career, Kelly has had the privilege of assisting adolescents and adults dealing with a wide range of challenges, such as anxiety, relationship issues, grief and loss, traumatic events, loss of identity, and depression. She firmly believes that there is hope for everyone and that change and growth are attainable when individuals are willing to put in the effort. As a counselor, Kelly’s primary objective is to create a comfortable and trusting environment where clients feel supported, encouraged, and valued. She utilizes evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solutions Focused Therapy (SFT) to help clients identify their goals and develop effective solutions. Taking the first step towards seeking help is often the most difficult, and Kelly acknowledges the courage it requires to explore counseling and embrace change.
