Kimberly Kolak

My name is Kimberly and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) therapist. With over a decade of experience, I began working in the clinical mental health field counseling individuals in a residential mental health facility. Since then, I have also gained experience in outpatient therapy and hospital social work settings. I have assisted individuals presenting with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and life changes. Individuals who seek therapy deserve to work with someone who is empathetic, objective, and supportive. I provide a safe environment for clients to openly share feelings and concerns without judgement as we begin the collaboration process, where we will work together to identify solutions for positive change. I believe that the client is the expert on their own life and that they possess the internal resources to make the desired change. My holistic focus includes assisting clients in identifying their strengths, inner resources, and values that will serve as a roadmap to creating and making progress toward personal goals in several domains, which may include self-growth, relationships, work, spirituality, and more. My modalities include cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical strategies, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
