LaToya Kinnard

I am a National Certified Counselor, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have been working as a Therapist for over 17 years. I also have several years of experience as a Board Qualified Clinical Supervisor. I recently earned the TeleMental Health Training Certificate (THTC) through the completion of the comprehensive THTC program. After completing the THTC, and passing a comprehensive exam I became a Board Qualified Telemental Health Provider (BC-TMH). I have provided counseling to adults, children and I have worked with the geriatrics population in a mental health setting. I have experience working with concerns including, but not limited to the following: depression, anxiety, gender issues, relationship issues, sexuality and multicultural issues. I have also worked very closely with individuals who have experienced physical trauma, emotional and or sexual abuse. I utilize a sincere and interactive style of counseling where I want to meet the individual where they are at that time. I strive to be a strong support system for individuals in need. My overall goal involves helping others to reach their highest level of potential through the counseling relationship. I am truly passionate about treating all individuals with respect, dignity, sensitivity, and compassion. I am a firm believer that everyone deserves to be treated with care during therapy. I approach counseling with a cognitive-behavioral and person centered approach. Treatment will be completed based on your individual needs in regards to therapy. As a therapist, I personally believe that each person has the key to make changes to his or her life. As a change agent, I would love to be a key part in the therapeutic process that helps you become a better you each day.
