Laura Christopher

Hello, my name is Laura Christopher. I have been a mental health therapist licensed in New Jersey for over 10 years. In my experience as a therapist, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse array of clients of varying ages and backgrounds. I have worked with clients battling anxiety, depression, relationship issues and coping with life transitions. I have also worked with clients who have experienced emotional and physical trauma. My counseling style is empathetic, open and warm. I want to assure you that this is a safe space for you to share and explore whatever may be weighing on you. Our therapeutic relationship will be based on trust, compassion, and a desire for growth. I gravitate towards humanistic psychology with a focus on cognitive behavioral explorations. However, I approach every client as an individual and develop a treatment specifically tailor to each client’s needs. I have always been drawn to helping people; even more so, I feel passionate about allowing people a safe space to ask for help without stigmatisms or judgements. Taking the first steps toward a better, more fulfilling life takes courage and vulnerability. I am committed to my clients’ well-being and guiding them through their emotional struggles. I believe mental health therapists are compasses for clients to find their path to a happier self. Along this path, clients are faced with obstacles that may be difficult to understand or put meaning behind. I am committed to helping you through those obstacles.
