Laura Philpott

Laura Philpott is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling and Addiction. With a focus on treating Co-occurring addiction and trauma disorders, Laura has dedicated the last six years to helping Veterans and civilians dealing with PTSD. As an evidence-based focused therapist, she combines her expertise with Motivational Interviewing to assist clients in processing barriers to change. Laura firmly believes in meeting her patients where they are at and guiding them towards their goals through compassion, education, and a non-judgmental environment to explore their past and present experiences. She also welcomes and encourages family engagement, respecting the comfort level of each individual. Laura considers therapy a privilege and is committed to providing a safe space for her patients to explore, learn, and grow in the direction they choose. She emphasizes that her role is not to dictate how someone should live, but rather to reflect and explore the impact of thoughts and emotions on their life.
