My name is Lawanza Taylor. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida. I have 22 years experience providing direct Mental Health services to various diverse populations and in multiple settings. (office, school and in the community). I have had extensive work with the military and I have a vast knowledge and understanding of the military population, culture and lifestyle. I have worked with all ages but I extensive experience and a passion for working with adolescents and teens. It is my desire to work with children because I want to be a part of helping them navigate through life and work to become productive members of society. I am skilled in providing individual, group and couples counseling in the areas of problem solving and decision making, grief and anger management and family dynamics. My approach to therapy is Client centered, this means I meet you were you are. You are the expert on you and I will use a variety of interventions to collaboratively with you to set and work towards reaching your desired goals of treatment. I use Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT) and Solution Focused Therapy in my work with clients. The decision to seek help takes courage and my role as a therapist is to assist and guide you through your process, while providing you a safe haven to complete your journey. My desire as a therapist is to be a positive catalyst in a potentially difficult situation. I look forward to working with you . Lets take this journey to a better you together!
