About Lisa Cox's service

Hello, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee. I accept clients who reside in the Easter Standard Time Zone only, and I do not provide evening appointments. I received my Bachelors of Social Work degree from East Tennessee State University, Johnson City and my Masters of Social Work degree from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a concentration in Clinical Practice. I am a seasoned therapist of approximately 25 years. My areas of practice expertise include treatment for depression, anxiety, healing from childhood abuse, marriage and couples therapy and Christian/Spiritual counseling. I utilize a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Interpersonal Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Intelligent Behavioral Therapy, Spiritual Behavioral Therapy, Solution -Focused Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy. I operate from a “the glass is half full” perspective and believe we are never beyond learning from a place of hope.
