Lisa Raney

I am a mental health counselor licensed in Iowa with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor and wellness therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including health and wellness, stress management, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges. I have also helped many people over the years establish a strong sense of self worth, healthier habits and lifestyles. I also am a Certified Mental Health and Integrative Medicine Provider. Over the years, a lot of my work has centered around motivating ourselves to do the “tough stuff” – healthy lifestyles and weight management, being open and honest about who we are, tackle our inner dialogue, boost self-confidence, etc. My counseling style is compassionate, warm and interactive. It takes a lot of courage to open up about thoughts, feelings and beliefs and I respect anyone who includes that as part of their personal journey. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don’t believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and realistic problem solving modalities. I will design our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change.
