Margarita Salas

I am licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Michigan with 6 years of professional work experience. My experience comes from working in a high school setting helping adolescents and their families manage stress, anxiety, depression, and relationships. I believe the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool in helping clients grow. This process involves trust and openness which we will work on building over time. When working with adolescent clients, I find that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective treatment style . This approach lends itself to be easily combined with other modalities such as mindfulness, solution focused and Gestalt therapy. I am hoping the time we spend together will be a positive experience of learning and growth. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change! You have taken that first step and for that I congratulate you!
