Maritza Martinez-Chinchilla

Maritza Martinez-Chinchilla is a highly experienced Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas with over 40 years of post-Masters experience. Specializing in trauma resolution, stress management, and anger management, she is dedicated to helping her clients achieve success in their personal and professional lives. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Maritza has received extensive training in cultural diversity and gender identity. With expertise in managing grief, depression, anxiety, and fear resulting from abuse and loss, she has worked with diverse populations including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Maritza also offers couples counseling for those experiencing marital difficulties. Her extensive experience includes working with at-risk populations such as juvenile offenders, adult offenders, and children who have been in placement with Children’s Protective Services. In fact, Maritza was awarded a contract in 2009 by the Harris County Commissioners Court to provide individual and group counseling services to juvenile probationers, allowing her to further expand her expertise in addressing diverse family issues and other barriers to her clients’ success and happiness. Maritza has maintained her private practice since 1994.
