I am a licensed clinical therapist based in Brooklyn, New York. In my practice, I believe that clients can positively address excessive worry and the distress of traumatic events through a positive therapeutic alliance. I I am an active participant in treatment and utilize a tailored approach that draws on psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and relational psychoanalysis. Prior to building my private practice, I spent 8 years working with formerly houseless individuals in New York City who were navigating complex medical, mental health, and substance use struggles. This work, alongside my cultural and educational background, has shaped my worldview and practice, centering it on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and the ways in which systems of oppression influence life experiences. I have supported clients around relationship stressors, substance use, grief, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. In addition to my work with mood and personality disorders, I have extensive experience working with individuals with long histories of trauma, those diagnosed with terminal illnesses, and clients with histories of suicidal and violent ideation. I have completed training in relational psychoanalysis and CBT. I work alongside the client to understand symptoms, behaviors, and patterns to collaboratively create goals that are attainable and realistic.
