Megan Giffen

Hi! My name is Megan and I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker through the state of Missouri. I have been practicing in hospital settings for the last eight years and am well versed in crisis management. I have a history of providing services to adolescents struggling with depression, suicidal ideations, self-harm behaviors, gender dysphoria, anxiety, and mood disorders. I have experience in group therapy as well and have provided family therapy on many occasions to assist with better communication and family cohesiveness. My focus in therapy is on the client and starting where they are. I use a very strengths based and solution focused approach and will often use motivational techniques to help stimulate growth. I have a great amount of empathy for those struggling with mental health concerns and will be very supportive of you in your healing journey. I am here to listen and guide you through your therapeutic journey. I will focus on building the therapeutic relationship first and foremost as I believe that is the most important staple of therapy. I am excited to learn more about you and work with you on your goals in life.
