Hello! My name is Meghan Tafel, and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the state of Michigan. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 2000. Since then, I have worked in various capacities throughout my career, including therapist, educator, school counselor and victim advocate in the court system, and mother. Each of these opportunities have provided me with a broad spectrum of experience working with various clients. I have extensive experience working with clients effected by physical and sexual abuse, domestic violence, and those that have been victims of other violent crimes. I have experience with concerns relating to anxiety, ADHD, behavioral concerns, depression, family conflict, grief and loss, obsessions and compulsions, peer relationships, self-esteem, and trauma. In my work with clients, I utilize an eclectic style of practice, which means, I will work to find the strategies that work best for you. Most of the time, I tend to incorporate psychodynamic, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral, and solution-focused therapy strategies in my work with clients. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, I am passionate about helping people. I love seeing how people can grow from challenging experiences, and, I absolutely love being a part of that process. I would be honored to help you become a healthier and happier person!
