Melissa Fontenot

Melissa Fontenot is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas who is dedicated to helping individuals overcome challenges and find healing. With a passion for understanding people and a desire to assist others in working through struggles, Melissa earned her graduate degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center with a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling. Her experience includes working with individuals from diverse backgrounds who have faced issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, anger, major life transitions, PTSD, and career changes. Melissa believes in developing a healthy therapeutic relationship based on compassion, respect, and integrity. She takes an integrative approach tailored to each client’s individual needs, drawing primarily from Client-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy methods. Melissa’s role is to provide support and guidance as clients navigate through their challenges, recognizing that they are the experts of their own lives. She strives to create a comfortable environment that also encourages clients to push through obstacles in order to experience positive change. Melissa is here to help, support, and encourage clients on their journey towards healing and looks forward to the opportunity to work with them.
