Melissa Monroe

Hello! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut and I have been working in the field of addiction and mental health treatment since 2008. I am also a certified nutrition coach which allows me to combine my clinical experience with my passion for health and wellness. I want to help others navigate through the chaos of life by teaching them how to prioritize their own mental health and physical well-being so they can feel their best and most productive. My practice focuses on building a healthy foundation of “self”, using a strength based and solution focused approach to help minimize the feeling of “struggling” and identify what is possible to change to achieve growth. I work to provide personalized, individual plans for my clients that allow for flexibility in their busy lives and will lead to overall success and sustainability. I believe my professional and personal experience, genuine personality, and skills provide support and education to individuals in a safe and caring setting. I have a lot of experience specifically working with mothers and fathers looking to re-create their personal identity within their family unit. I am all about establishing healthy habits and routines creating balance. I would like to see individuals feeling empowered and work to decrease feelings of isolation, depression and anxiety by improving their health and overall happiness. Change can be hard but I am here to help you through this journey!
