Dr. Michael Becerra

Dr. Michael Becerra is a licensed counselor with over ten years of experience in the field. He holds licenses in Georgia, New Hampshire, and New Jersey and has worked in various settings including community organizations, school districts, college campuses, and vocational rehabilitation agencies. Dr. Becerra specializes in working with clients dealing with disability, stress and anxiety, immigration, men’s issues, career and life transitions, relationships, motivation, and confidence issues. He brings a unique perspective to his practice, having spent six years living in Colombia where he worked with intercultural heterosexual and gay couples, as well as US expats and volunteers adjusting to life abroad. Dr. Becerra’s counseling style is laid back and interactive, and he incorporates a humanistic theoretical framework shaped by Adlerian psychology. He also utilizes solution-focused and developmental approaches to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs. Dr. Becerra believes in the power of personal growth and social interest and aims to support and empower his clients as they navigate life’s challenges.
