I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a licensed Mental Health Counselor with 10 + years of experience working in a variety of mental health treatment settings. I have worked in community mental health, private practice and an inpatient setting. In my experience thus far, I have worked with and helped individuals with marital/couples issues, family conflict, depression, anxiety and stress, body image and self confidence issues, sexual abuse and trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. In addition to my professional licenses, I also hold a certified first responder training certificate as well as being a distance credentialed counselor. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, families and couples. My counseling style is very client centered. I believe that the client directs the journey, and I am there to assist in identifying patterns, dynamics and helpful observations that can serve to facilitate change in the individual, couple or family that I am working with. I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy including cognitive behavior therapy, solution focused therapy, trauma informed care, and narrative therapy. Treatment will be individualized towards the client/s specific needs and will be dynamic to meet the demands and environment of those I am working with. I’m glad that you took the first step in seeking out a counselor and look forward to working with you, if you believe that I would be a good fit!
