NaTasha Jones

When people experience severe life stressors and afflictions, it is not uncommon to feel hopeless, or as though life is unraveling. My greatest passion is ushering people to a place of healing and helping them see a glimmer of hope in any circumstance. My name is NaTasha C. Jones. My educational background includes an Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Counseling from Texas Wesleyan University. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy from the same Alma Mater. I received my professional Certification as a Parenting Instructor through Breakthrough Parenting Inc., and I hold an Anger Management Specialist- II Certification from the National Anger Management Association (NAMA). I believe in the mantra It takes a village to raise a child. Because of my belief, my approach to therapy is from a systematic perspective. I believe that people work in relationship systems and each person in the relationship is important to the balance of the whole. When relationships become out of balance, it is a result of many different factors and patterns, which can cause pain and a loss of hope. I place a strong emphasis on healthy communication, understanding, acceptance, and healing, so people come to know themselves as peaceful, complete, whole and safe. My experience entails working with families, couples, individuals, and children from diverse backgrounds with various life struggles. Some of these struggles included bipolar, depression, anxiety, divorce, family transitions, life transitions, marital conflict, parenting and anger issues. I have also been a facilitator for support groups and couple/family sessions. While I do see individuals, I attempt to involve the entire family, when appropriate, in the therapeutic process.
