I am a licensed professional counselor in Southlake, Texas and I specialize in helping people work through their pain and live their best lives! My top three passions are: helping people learn coping skills to manage their depression, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD and grief; helping people develop healthy relationships with themselves and others and assisting people as they work through past or ongoing trauma. No matter what you’re struggling with, you don’t have to go it alone and I offer you H.O.P.E. (Hold On Pain Ends) I understand that life can be a roller coaster full of unexpected loops, twists and turns. There can be days when we’re hanging on by a thread, when we fight battles in our heads, in our hearts in our depth of our bones that make us question our very existence. With over 18 years as a psychotherapist, I’ve seen countless clients move from silently numbing, avoiding, and denying their pain to being able to talk about their life experiences and process difficult emotions. One of the greatest joys of being a therapist is helping people work through their pain, understand it, & let it go. Using evidenced based, proven techniques from DBT – dialecticle behavioral therapy, CBT – cognitive behavioral therapy and ACT – acceptance therapy I work in collaboration with each of my clients. I am humbled as I walk with each client on his/her personal journey towards re-connection with authenticity and joy. The clients I work with are courageous (even though they may not admit it) & warriors fighting internal battles that outsiders know nothing about. Together we look at what has worked, what hasn’t and what can; we challenge negative beliefs, discover what healthy relationships are and how to obtain them, and learn to embrace change with confidence. I am thrilled to see my clients realize that their personhood is far more than their diagnosis or their struggles. They’re learning to navigate change with confidence and I consider them superheroes in the truest sense of the word.
