My purpose is to inspire hope in individuals, couples and families. My goal is to help, those that I serve, to gain/regain their own purpose; and, live emotionally healthy lives. I am glad that you reached out for assistance; sometimes, this is the most difficult step. There are times when we can feel that life is “too much”; and, we are overwhelmed. At other times, we may not feel overwhelmed; but, feel that something is “not quite right”, or feel a bit “off-center”. You may feel this, individually, or as it relates to how you interact with others. Sometimes we have felt this way for a long time, with no hope of it changing. Often, we can mistake “this is the way it has always been”, for normalcy. I want to inspire hope in you that you can be better. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor with, over, thirteen years of counseling experience. I work with individuals who have varying concerns, including; depression, anxiety, stress, grief, trauma, domestic abuse, relationship concerns, self-esteem and self-confidence concerns, adjustment difficulties, anger management, and others. My therapy modality is, usually, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to address thinking patterns; however, I utilize various treatment modalities, based upon the unique needs of the client with whom I am working. I take a person-centered approach to therapy; I strive to ensure that each person feels that they are in a safe environment to share and explore. I take care to provide a non-judgmental environment so that clients do not feel attacked; but, instead feel empowered to make any needed, though sometimes difficult, changes to achieve greater health.
