Peju Okubanjo

Peju Okubanjo is a licensed professional counselor based in Texas with over 6 years of experience. She believes that our past and current situations do not define us, but rather, our ability to rise above our struggles and grow into the people we are meant to be. Peju is dedicated to assisting individuals with a variety of challenges, including depression, substance abuse, relational problems, and life changes. With a background in psychology, kinesiology, and health, she brings a unique perspective to her counseling practice. Peju’s experience in education, as both a certified teacher and school counselor, has given her a deep understanding of children and adolescent issues, particularly behavioral problems. She continues to enhance her skills and knowledge through ongoing training and educational courses. In addition to her work in private practice, Peju has gained expertise in trauma-based issues, substance abuse, couples and marital counseling, anxiety, depression, and identity issues. Her therapeutic approach focuses on setting short and long-term goals, accepting past struggles, and overcoming fears. Peju offers individual, couples, and family counseling, as well as anger management and parenting classes.
