Priamos Williams

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina with over 16 years of experience within the mental health field. My counseling experience has afforded me the opportunity to provide services to a very diverse clientele group. I have worked with different populations to include children, adolescents and teenagers, adults, individuals struggling with substance abuse as well as adjudicated felons and sex offenders. I have conducted/co-facilitated both individual and group therapy sessions through various mental health services and levels of care to include therapeutic group homes, Outpatient Therapy, Day Treatment and Intensive In-Home services. I have experience in different evidenced based practices to include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) and Eco-Systemic Family Therapy (ESFT). Each different theoretical orientation involves a specific skill-set and/or techniques to utilize for purpose of effective intervention. My therapy style is relaxed but straight-forward with the main goal of being effective. I utilize mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) but certainly employ all relevant concepts from my experience in order to achieve person-centered goals and encourage optimal functioning. I strive to be an effective facilitator of change for any and all individuals who I have the pleasure of working with. I look forward to working with you!
