Hello and welcome. I know it can be scary to start counseling and share your private thoughts/emotions with a stranger. This is the birthplace of change, so be proud for this brave move! My name is Rayssa and I am here to help you tap into the best version of yourself. I believe strongly in the power to change what we want to change within ourselves. This means practicing everyday being the person you want to be. Perhaps you are feeling isolated, confused, angry, anxious or sad. Maybe you’ve had a loss of a loved one, job or home. Maybe you are struggling with self-esteem issues. Whatever your struggles or concerns are, I feel confident that we can identify and overcome them together. My counseling approach focuses on your strengths and resiliency. It recognizes you as the expert of your own life. I will teach and support you while we explore and practice making positive changes in your life. With my education, clinical training and experience, I can help you increase self-awareness, tap into your internal strengths and resiliency, learn how to let go of uncomfortable thoughts and feelings, consider new perspectives, and find new ways to cope. I am empathetic, open- minded and non-judgmental. I’ve counseled many patients over the course of my career. I have a lot of experience with military personel, substance abuse and trauma patients. I’ve worked in high acuity clinics like an inpatient psychiatric unit, hospice unit and substance abuse program. There isn’t really anything that shocks me. I will give you my professional perspective, encouragement and offer potential solutions to help you navigate through this difficult time. About me: I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida for 3 years. I graduated magna cum laude in a graduate school. Helping individuals become their best version is my purpose in life and I pride myself in providing excellent and supportive services. I specialize in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Motivational interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness Based Psychotherapy.
