About Rebecca Phelps-Smith's service

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the beautiful Berkshires of Western Massachusetts. I have worked in the field for several years in different settings. I am an evidence based, problem/solution focused therapist. I have extensive experience in emergency services, crisis intervention, and suicide risk assessment. I work with individuals of all ages struggling with problems such as anxiety, depression, stress management, body image, self esteem, disordered eating, substance use, anger management, relationship / family conflicts, grief, and PTSD. My professional background in working in emergency services, provides me with first hand knowledge of what it is like to experience vicarious trauma. I utilize that knowledge in helping others, such as law enforcement and first responders, develop healthy coping strategies and provide them a place to safely and openly discuss their experiences and struggles.
