Dr. Richard Vaughn

I am licensed as a clinical psychologist in Michigan, Illinois and Minnesota and have the ability to practice in all states participating in PsyPact, about 40 states more. I have 46 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with anxiety, depression, PTSD, geriatric issues, and others more serious mental illnesses. I’ve worked in private practice, county, state and federal court systems, long term care, psychiatric hospital and mental health program development as well as university teaching. I’m trained in multiple modalities of psychotherapy practice with an eclectic, client centered approach and have interest in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I believe that you are the “expert” of your story, the one responsible for your decisions and that you have many strengths, some of which are unknown to you, that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life, to take the first steps towards a change and to ask for help. I am here to assist you in that journey.
