About Robert Angus's service

I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) licensed in Illinois and Indiana. I am also a board-certified behavior analyst. I have been practicing since 2005, specializing in the areas of interpersonal relationships and family conflicts, parenting, self-motivation, ADHD, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, borderline personality disorder and autism spectrum disorder. My goal when working with individuals is to tap into their existing strengths and to further empower them through use of a solution-focused approach. My counseling style is also heavily based on principles used in dialectical behavior therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy. Increasing an individual’s emotional self-regulation skills and overall sense of self-awareness creates longer lasting change and makes it much more likely that they will be better equipped to work through whatever problems life may throw them in the future. In other words, I want to help you work through current struggles and I want to teach you practical skills that you can use on your own for the rest of your life.
