Robert Fredrickson

Hello! My name is Robert Fredrickson. I have 18 years of experiencing in providing mental health services. I have worked in both community and correctional settings with individiuals suffering from Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Emotion Management and those suffering from a Serious Mental Illness (SMI). I have a belief that achievement in the Counseling Profession happens with rapport development and a collaborative effort between client and therapist. At it’s essence, I am a Pragmatist and have many skill sets to match an individual with the right tools necessary to address their concerns. I am trained in Crisis Management, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). However, finding the right pieces of each style to match a client’s worldview is the most important to have a Solution Focused method to assist my clientele. My approach would be that of collaboration. I am supportive, focused and take it as my goal to assist you in addressing your concerns. Some would say I am very “laid back” but when necessary, I am not afraid of taking on serious content. What is most important, is helping you. Which ever direction you choose to take, I always wish the best.
