Hello, my name is Roosevelt, a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Texas. I am also a National Certified Counselor. I earned my graduate degree in counseling in Texas, from Texas A&M University – Commence. Life can become increasingly overwhelming, especially during these unprecedented times through the COVID-19 pandemic. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, or couple and family struggles, I am here to help. I have over 25 years of experience in the mental health field. I am proficient in working with various populations and with needs ranging from depression, anxiety, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, self-harm, family issues, and self improvement. Additionally, I have a background in working with children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and attachment based family and couples therapy, which are my primary practicing models. My passion is helping people to continue to work toward their best self in all areas of their lives. As your counselor, I will work with you to create an individualized treatment plan, which includes identifying mental health symptoms, appropriate and accurate diagnoses, and work with you to create manageable and realistic goals throughout your treatment.
