About Ruth MacBain's service

I am licensed in Community Mental Health in Maine and New Hampshire and have a master’s level certificate in Substance Use Disorders. My background is in working in residential treatment and Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders. The modalities I use in a collaborative approach with clients; are Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy as well as Seeking Safety and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Integration for Substance Use Disorders when teaching groups. I have experience and training in LGBTQ, Anxiety, Depression and PTSD as well as Autism and the Intellectually Disabled population. My areas of interest when I am not at work are volunteering for Adaptive Sports Supporting people with Autism and helping people overcome challenges related to disabilities. I love the outdoors and hiking , biking and swimming.
