You need to have a good relationship with your counselor to be able to open up and get through the struggles in your life. I want to provide you with information about myself to see if you think we would be a good match. I am a social worker licensed in the state of Michigan and I have been in the field for three years. I have worked with clients with a wide variety of concerns including depression, anxiety , OCD, Bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, Borderline personality disorder, PTSD, substance use, grief, and relationship issues. I have helped many people who have experienced trauma in their life. My therapy style is warm, kind and compassionate. I want to be a positive person who can provide you the support you need in these difficult times. I like to provide an enriching and open environment free of judgement or criticism. I want to be able to create a comfortable environment so you are able to express your struggles and what is going on in your life. I like to use cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing. I also take a person centered approach to my work and treatment plan. I want you to be in charge of what goals we work towards and in developing your goals. We will work together to tailor a plan and treatment specifically for you. I want to interact in whatever way is most comfortable to you. I am available for live sessions, phone sessions and messaging. We can use any combination of these or just one that you are comfortable with. It takes courage to seek out help and to want to better your life.
