Scott Smith has worked in the mental health field since 1993. His work is based on the eclectic principles of Cognitive Behavioral Treatment (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Feeling State Addiction Protocol [FSAP – EMDR], DeTur-EMDR, Chronic Pain – EMDR, and Brainspotting therapy to treat various concerns (e.g., trauma, childhood abuse, spousal abuse, sexual abuse, physical abuse, emotional abuse, combat trauma, addiction, loss, and migraine headaches), Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy (i.e. Five Path, Seven Path, Ego State Hypnotherapy), Progressive Relaxation for Stress Management, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), Client-Centered Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Object Relations Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
