Senija Puskar

Senija Puskar is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with over 7 years of experience in the mental health field. She holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Tarleton State University and has completed her graduate internship at MHMR Tarrant County and Medical City Green Oaks in Dallas, TX, where she worked with children, adolescents, and adults. As a psychodynamic therapist, Senija utilizes various therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Solution Focused Behavioral Therapy (SFBT). She specializes in immigration issues, adjusting to new cultures, new moms issues, depression, anxiety, life stage transition, relationship difficulties, interpersonal conflict and communication, and healthy boundaries in relationships. Senija is passionate about helping her clients understand that their past does not define their present or future. She assists them in exploring their family of origin, understanding the reasons behind their choices, beliefs, and emotions, and finding effective solutions to harmful behaviors using SFBT. Additionally, Senija uses CBT to help clients develop new coping skills, reframe their thought process, and change their behaviors.
