Shahada Mitchell

Shahada Mitchell is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Troy University and a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Florida A&M University. With previous experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings, Shahada has worked with adults and adolescents, specializing in the treatment of anger, trauma, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. She takes a diverse therapeutic approach, recognizing that each client is unique, and has a strong foundation in cognitive-behavioral therapy. Shahada believes that seeking support and guidance is a courageous step towards healing and aims to help clients reconnect their mind, body, and soul. She is dedicated to creating a tranquil and supportive environment where clients can safely share their experiences and work towards the change they desire. Shahada is committed to being anti-oppressive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQ+ competent.
