Sharon Sonko

Sharon Sonko is an independent licensed clinical and certified social worker with over 11 years of experience. She specializes in addressing the unique challenges faced by veterans, including issues related to PTSD, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, disability (including spinal cord injury), trauma (including sexual), intimate partner violence, grief and loss, and aging, among others. Additionally, Sharon has expertise in child protective issues, specifically related to sexual abuse and neglect. She employs a variety of therapeutic modalities, such as Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and CBT, to provide comprehensive services to her clients. With a relaxed and interactive approach, Sharon encourages active participation and incorporates meditation and breathing exercises to address stress and trauma. Her ultimate goal is to empower individuals to actively engage in therapy and to help them become their best selves.
