Shauna Diawaku

Shauna Diawaku is a dedicated therapist who is passionate about helping individuals increase their self-awareness and cultivate deeper and more meaningful relationships with God and others. With a special focus on working with people of color, Shauna understands and empathizes with the unique challenges and joys of their multicultural experiences. She takes a collaborative approach to counseling, taking the time to understand her clients’ specific goals and working together to address each issue. Shauna values the opportunity to build a therapeutic relationship with her clients, using her expertise to guide them towards personal and relational growth with God and others. Born and raised in Ft. Worth, TX, Shauna relocated to Austin in 2011 to pursue her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas. She graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Art in Psychology and went on to obtain her Masters at St. Edwards University in 2017. Shauna has gained valuable experience working at the Capital Area Counseling Center, a private practice in Austin, where she had the opportunity to work with clients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. She also has experience as a case manager for adults and adolescents at The Georgetown Behavioral Health Institute, where she worked with the inpatient acute/crisis population.
