Sonia Baker, PhD, LSSP, LPC-S is a licensed professional counselor in Texas with over 15 years of experience in the field. She obtained her master’s degree in counseling and psychology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and her doctorate in multicultural special education with an emphasis in behavior disorders from the University of Texas at Austin. Dr. Baker has a genuine passion for helping individuals reach their full potential and believes that everyone faces challenges in life that can be overcome with purpose and understanding. She has worked with adults and adolescents in various settings, including the private sector, crisis residential facilities, and educational institutions. Dr. Baker has expertise in areas such as crisis, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, grief and loss, and substance use.
