I am a licensed professional counselor in New Jersey with over 20 years experience working in agencies and schools. I use a mind-body approach to help people feel more aware of what they are experiencing internally (thoughts, feelings, body sensations etc.) and externally (environment, relationships etc.) so that they have more control of their thoughts. emotions and behaviors. Once clients gain more awareness of how they perceive and react to situations, they can learn to respond more wisely and effectively to the challenges and stressors in their lives. Clients can learn to regulate their emotions, handle distressing situations and communicate more effectively with tools such as mindfulness, yoga, DBT and CBT. I have worked with clients on a wide range of topics such as anxiety, depression, stress management, parenting, work/life balance, ADHD, conflict resolution skills, anger management and relationship skills and trauma. I believe in strength-based approaches and building on what is already working in a client’s life so that they can be the best version of themselves.
