Susan Sherbon

I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Illinois with more than 25 years of professional work experience. I started working in a residential treatment facility with challenged youth providing individual, group and family therapy. I also completed crisis assessments at a mental health facility and in local emergency rooms. I then went to work for a large, urban school system as a school social worker. I provided individual and group therapy as well as completing my part for special education evaluations. This led to me becoming an autism consultant for this district for the next 10 years. I earned both my Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration and became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst during this time. In addition to working with the school district, I branched out to be being a private BCBA for children with autism for two different agencies. I have been both a Special Education Administrator and a Behavior Coach/Consultant for teachers and admininistrators. I have a genuine love of meeting people where they are at and helping them identify and meet their goals for therapy. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process.
