Taurus Sanders

Hi, My name is Taurus Sanders and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 9 years clinical experience. I also have over 15 years of experience as a law enforcement officer that has afforded me the opportunity to understand and respond to trauma related issues. I have a bachelor’s in Psychology and master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. My core treatment modality is cognitive behavioral therapy, however I cater to what best fits the client’s needs. I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and use it often for trauma, anxiety and depressive related issues. I am a holistic counselor – in that I assess all areas for balance/imbalance. It is my goal to help client’s achieve balance – which could resolve stress/distress. My approach to counseling and client’s is direct and ‘to the issue(s)’ while expressing empathy and compassion. I have a hope based philosophy as I believe that change requires hope. It is a privilege to be able to enter into someone’s life to assist in anyway possible. I look forward to working with you!
