Theresa Stringer

Theresa Stringer is a Clinical Social Worker with a passion for helping others. With a background in nursing and experience in the Addictions field, Theresa’s interest in Social Work was sparked. Her time in the US Army and various clinical settings laid the foundation for her education in Social Work, culminating in a Master’s degree from Western Carolina University, specializing in Substance Abuse. Theresa’s therapeutic approach incorporates Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, focusing on a strengths-based and person-centered approach. Known for her genuine empathy and open-hearted energy, Theresa creates a safe and supportive space for her clients to open up and process their experiences. Drawing from her nursing background, she takes a holistic approach, identifying patterns that may hinder personal fulfillment and growth. Outside of work, Theresa enjoys spending time outdoors with her dogs and believes in the importance of self-care, utilizing yoga, pet therapy, and essential oils in her daily routine.
